AUDITIONS for the 2024/2025 Company Team 

will be held on Saturday, June 15th. 

*Please note that this is the only audition we will hold for next season's Company  Team.

AUDITIONS for the 2024/2025  Ensemble Team &

Advanced Recreational Classes

will be held on Saturday, August 24th.

*Please note that this is the only audition we will hold for next season's Ensemble  Team.

*Audition schedule will be posted & audition pre registration will open in August.

 *An audition is required for all returning Company, Ensemble, & Advanced Dancers.

 

 

 

SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, June 15th - COMPANY TEAM AUDITIONS:

*Studio A  (15 Forest Street)  will be accessible for independent warm ups starting at 10:00 AM;  please arrive to Studio D  (32 Forest Street)  10-15 minutes prior to the start of your audition to check in.

10:30-11:00  NEW!  Pee Wee COMPANY, AGES 6-8   -   Ballet Evaluation + Jazz Combination

*For young dancers who would like to be considered for Pee Wee Company (our youngest Company Team); must have at least ONE YEAR of experience in a Ballet &/or Jazz class.  Audition Fee is $15 for this portion. 

11:00-1:00   COMPANY, Grades 2-4   -   Ballet Placement + Jazz Combination + Tap Combination 

*This audition is recommended for dancers with at least one year of competition experience or multiple years of Ballet & Jazz training.

1:00-3:00    COMPANY, Grades 5-8   -   Ballet Placement + Jazz + Contemporary/Lyrical + Tap Combinations

   

3:30-5:30    COMPANY, Grades 9-12  -   Ballet Placement + Jazz + Contemporary/Lyrical + Tap Combinations

  

5:45-6:45    INVITATIONAL COMPANY PIECES  -  Grades 6-12

*Jazz, Lyrical, &/or Contemporary Combos  -  for dancers who'd like to be considered for additional, Invitational Company pieces.  Invitational Dancers must commit to extra weekly training/rehearsals, & attend additional competitions. 

   

HOW TO PREPARE & WHAT TO WEAR?

*Any dancers interested in auditioning for COMPANY should attend the audition on Saturday, June 15th.

*Please know that you must be prepared to accept the level of Company that the Faculty places you in.

*ENSEMBLE & Advanced Lyrical, Hip Hop, & Tap Recreational Class Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 24th. 

*All auditions will be held in Studio D (32 Forest Street).  Studio A (15 Forest Street) will be open as a place to warm up prior to your audition, starting at 10:30 AM

*The NCDA Audition Fee is $30 per audition (charged to Family account)

*Please audition with the grade level you will be entering in the Fall (2024). Placement into Company Levels will be determined by Faculty and NOT by the age group in which you audition.

*Placements will be announced via email, 48-72 hours after the audition date. 

*DRESS TO IMPRESS!

All dancers auditioning for the Company Team on June 15th should be dressed as follows:

(Ensemble Team auditions will be on August 24th & will require the same dress code)

-Black leotard, pink tights, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and/or Tap shoes that correspond to the various portions of your audition group.  For Lyrical, we recommend wearing convertible tights to free the feet, with pirouette shoes or bare feet.  You may also wear Ballet shoes for the Lyrical portion.  It is optional to bring form-fitting shorts or leggings to wear over your leotard for the Jazz, Lyrical, or Tap portions of the audition.  Long hair should be slicked back into a clean bun; no jewelry. 

-Male identifying dancers: White t-shirt, black form-fitting pants, corresponding shoes.

*Please be prepared to bring ALL required shoes into the studio for the audition  

All dancers auditioning for Advanced Recreational Classes on August 24th should be dressed as follows:

-Lyrical:  Black leotard with form fitting black shorts or leggings over; barefoot or "pirouette" shoes.  Long hair should be slicked back into a clean bun; no jewelry.  Male identifying dancers:  White t-shirt, black form-fitting pants, corresponding shoes.

-Hip Hop & Tap:  shorts or leggings, tank or t-shirt; neutral colors
