The New Canaan Dance Academy,

founded in 2001 by Elaine Young, offers training in

Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pre-Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Breakdancing, Acro, Pointe, & Improv

to students ranging from 3-years-old to Adult.

The Academy provides a safe & nurturing environment in which students can realize their artistic & physical potential under the guidance of teachers who have been formally trained at universities & conservatories, & who are currently working in the professional dance world.

We value our community & welcome students of all levels to join in our recreational season, beginning each September & ending in June with a celebratory weekend of performances at the beautiful Palace Theater in Stamford, CT.  

 

Throughout our season our dancers achieve an appreciation for dance genres & history, choreography, collaboration, artistry, stage performance, & individuality.
